Jose Garcia
Jose discovered Scuba in 2014. He loved it so much he became an instructor and had dove in Cozumel, Bonaire, Cayman Brac, Roatan, and Catalina Island.
He is also a Specialty instructor in the following fields: Dive Guide, Enriched Air Nitrox, Perfect Buoyancy, Driver Stress and Rescue, and Classified dive instructor.
Jose Volunteers his time to the Dive Pirates Organization. A non-profit organization that brings the beautiful sport of diving to persons with disabilities. The organization provides training, equipment and a dive trip to people with disabilities.
Jose has extensive training experience in the Law Enforcement field where he is currently and instructor in Firearms, Defensive Tactics, and Less Lethal tools. His training experience has assisted him in molding specific training methods to individual students to improve the student’s ability to retain scuba techniques and enjoy the sport of open water scuba diving.
Jose spent time in Police Special Operations unit, Federal Narcotics Task Force Officer, Department Training Officer, and Police Problem Solving Unit. He is currently a sergeant at a local police department assigned to the Problem Solving Unit and the Crisis Negotiation Team.
